VIP Project fifth Annual Report
The latest Visual Impact Provision (VIP) Annual Report is now available to download
By continuing to work closely with key stakeholders over the past 12 months, we remain confident of achieving our goal to deliver significant benefits to some of the most precious landscapes across England and Wales. Plans to replace sections of existing overhead electricity transmission line with underground alternatives remain active in the Peak District and Snowdonia National Parks. Work in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is now underway, and a new project is beginning in the North Wessex Downs.
The VIP project is driven by engagement with stakeholders who have expert knowledge and truly care for the future of our landscapes. The continued success of the project is testament to what can be achieved when a diverse range of organisations work together.
The report documents progress of the VIP project from June 2018 to May 2019, including stakeholder engagement work and updates on the prioritised projects. Also included is information on the Landscape Enhancement Initiative (LEI) and the improvements it is making possible alongside the wider cable undergrounding works.
We hope you will enjoy reading our Annual Report. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email the project’s community relations team on email@example.com.
